Brixton Academy boozers

Travelling up to London for a gig tomorrow night at the O2 Academy in Brixton. Any decent pubs in the local vicinity I should check out pre-concert?

It's been a while, but every time I've been to the Academy I've visited The Goose on Brixton Road, purely for convenience really, it's pretty much opposite the station. But the pub's ok, it sells beer and cider and stuff.

Turn left when you come out of the station and hit the pub on the corner where the big roundabout/junction is.

Turning right leads to pubs full of nothing but the lost and the damned.

The Duke of Edinburgh is a few minutes walk from Brixton and it's a nice pub. 

Or there is the Craft Beer near the Station which isn't the best pub but have a lot of craft beers (as one might expect...)
