Up for sale is my 2012 Gibson SG Special 70s Tribute that has been through the highly skilled hands of Raygun Relics and refinished in a glorious and vibrant metallic blue nitro with a roller bridge, aged brown tort pickguard, knob pointers and a custom made truss rod cover to pimp it out in full. I’ll chuck in the original cream pickguard too. Looks like the former owner upgraded the harness too. The back of the neck is a satin finish and it really is a delight to play because of it.

These are terrific guitars and the 2012 model is much praised. Here’s a quick Greg Koch demo so you see and hear why for yourself

The neck profile is an unusual one from Gibson and one of their best IMO. It starts off as a slim profile down at the headstock end for chords etc and gets rounder the further up the neck you go which makes playing lead up at the dusty end incredible comfortable as it gives your hand the support it needs while your fingers get busy with those licks.

It sounds? GREAT. The mini humbuckers provide all the balls you’d expect from an SG but the bonus is they clean up beautifully and the neck pickup in particular is a joy for warm, clear arpeggios.

The guitar is in great overall condition; there are a few bumps but they’re covered by the refinish bar one teeny (1mm) ding on the front. There is also a small circular surface mark just between the bridge and stoptail (see last pic) from when I had a Deusenberg Les Trem on board. Both hard to spot unless you’re right up close though.

This guitar comes with a gig bag and Strap Locks...plus a fair degree of pain in my heart at having to part with it. Only selling as the one-in-one-out rule must be obeyed.
