I once had a 70's Les Paul Deluxe and I remember the V & T controls were very usable.
I now have a Tele Deluxe body and a pair of new mini-humbuckers (not Gibson, UK builder) to be fitted. I won't be splitting coils or anything, just 2 volume, 2 tone, 3 way toggle.
I am looking for pots with a usable range. For me, pots are not something I want to save money on, so I don't want the cheapest option (unless that is also the best...). For 97% of the playing they won't be on 10.
So can anyone recommend quality pots with a usable range of 5-10 or better?
Next question, 500k pots or something else?
Cheers,
Ddig

The quality of the standard CTS pots is rather poor these days though, it's better to get them from one of the specialist resellers who order the premium grade ones, even though they're a lot more expensive.
Bareknuckle do some with a custom log taper which is very good. (They specify them as 550K, but they're essentially the same thing - it's the taper that matters, not the exact resistance.)
Oil City Pickups ( @TheGuitarWeasel ) and @FelineGuitars also sell them I think.

Many guitars have a re-sale value. Some you'll never want to sell.
