NGD Probett ES2 respray due so open to ideas of colours etc

Watched this guitar go around the internet for at least 2 years looking for a home...dont like the colour at all, dont particularly care for the headstock, in fact there isn't really anything aesthetically i like that much about it at all...however i knew it would be a beautifully built, playing and sounding guitar and pleased to say it is all of those...it started life as blue and due to something going awry with the nitro it turned green...anyway here it is £825 of guitar building excellence and as i am about as cool as Theresa May suits me:)

Colour is a very personal thing but by process of elimination:

Sunburst?
Plain colour?
Metallic?
Sparkle?
Aged?
Reliced?

Will narrow it down.......

Oiled natural with black Bakelite guard a la Springsteen. The headstock would match that look. Black truss cover to match.

Not necessarily relic, only pic I could find but if I was going to refin I’d go for red sparkle and change to a black pickguard

In that case @rexter might be your man. Jon does a mean line in metallic and sparkle finishes and could probably show you some examples.

Personally I would think about spraying it Sonic Blue or Candy Apple Red.

That colour it is now suits the head. I think it looks really good as is. I wouldn't go Fender colours, its not a fender and the head makes it something else. Id go full on sparkle, like an Italia Monza , but really, it looks quite right the way it is and its aging nicely.
