USA Peavey Vandenberg series 1,rocket or Lazer (not sure which) red,Ebony board, Kahler killer 2700 trem,original hardcase,one chip on top thats been touched up thats is down to the wood could be drop filled i guess,odd mark here and there but otherwise in good condition. £550

There is plenty of info online about these but here are a few specs i have found.

The Peavey Vandenberg Signature guitar is a "made in the USA" super strat type guitar released in 1988. It distinguishes itself from other superstrats by a very unique look. It has a slightly arched top and "fiddle cuts" in the body. The lower cutaway also has an extra scooped cutaway for reaching the highest fret. The scale of the bolt-on neck is 24.75 inch (just like a Les Paul). The headstock is reversed and has a 3 degree tilt and matches the color of the body. The bridge is a Kahler 2700 series (2710 Killer)licensed under Floyd Rose double locking tremolo. The pickups have an HS configuration with an Alnico bridge humbucker (14.67kOhm) and an Alnico neck single coil (6.47kOhm) with medium/high output both by Peavey. The pickups are both placed at a 2-4 degree angle (parallell with the body's bottom) to eliminate the string spacing problem when Gibson pickups are combined with Fender spaced tremolos.

    Had one of these when they first came out. Great guitar but that chip is familiar - mine had loads on the edges from very normal playing and always to bare wood.

    This is is a bargain good luck with the sale!

  • that looks very @HarrySeven ;
    The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

    Ta! TBH, it would have done at one point, but I’m giving FR vibratos a miss - overdosed on them at one point!
