    Excellents list. The only thing I'd add that nobody has mentioned (or sorry if I've missed it) - if I'm only able to take one guitar (maybe travelling on public transport or whatever) - I carry a couple of spare machine heads for whatever guitar I've got. I've had one fail on a solo acoustic gig before and leave me right in the shitter.

  • All the above plus I find the spares grow over time...you end up with far too many leads, I always end up having the big quarterly re-org and sort out of the cases.
