Got to love a proper plain top! No flame whatsoever.

Plain is almost always better looking.

I definitely think so. Really flamed tops, like a lot of the PRS’ look so cheesy to me.

I love a plain top, and that's particularly nice. Happy NGD!

  • Very lovely. Still stinging from not getting one of these.. somehow plaintops are more authentic to these eyes.

Just like guitars, I'd happily play anything ;)

But damn, that's one gorgeous guitar. If I close my eyes & picture a Les Paul, that's exactly what I picture. Beautiful!

Thanks guys. Another things I'm really liking about this top is the lack of join in the middle. It's almost as if someone has purposefully tried to make it look like a single piece. Sounds great too!

  • Its a beauty. I concur about regular grain looking better. Flame (and quilt to a lesser extent) is far too common.
I sometimes think, therefore I am intermittent

Both will produce tasty licks I guess.

  • Lovely...HNGD. I love Plain Tops, I'd never buy a Flame Top now. Ironically, my Flame Top Wolfgang is my go to Gigging Guitar and is the most comfortable Guitar I've ever played, I did buy it 18 years ago though when my cosmetic taste was different.
