I've got a Cimar one you could have. Not quite in the Tokai league but definitely 70s and Japanese. Is sunburst, has some fretwear and a dink higher up the fretboard.

I think it's at the studio so I won't be able to take pix til next week, but I think I paid £120 plus postage and would want to sell it for about the same.

Also got a nice Japanese Silver Series Squier but that's 90s rather than 70s...

Cool. It's pretty much the same as this one:

Except without the BS description and the ludicrous price tag.

  • Ha!  This thread got me looking at Facebook for any groups (I've got a 1977 Antoria Strat copy).  There's an Antoria collectors group, which had a link to another Antoria web page.

Imagine my surprise, clicking on it to find out more about them, and seeing a pic of my own guitar's headstock.  :)

  • I have a 1975 antoria thinline telecaster, picked it up at a car boot over the summer for £65. Its actually what's prompted me to get a 70s style strat

  • Nice.  While mine is heavier and a bit rougher then my American Std Fender, it's amazing to play...  a muscle car Strat.
