London insurance evaluations

Hi I have guitars than I think should be insured.

To whom would you go / have you gone to in London to get an insurance valuation?  

My insurer is Zurich.

What are they? Vintage Fender/Gibson or boutique PRS etc style?

Fender and Gibson

I go through a broker, Victor C.Knight and co and have 2 Allianz policies. One for home, one for out.

Thanks chaps. Have you used shops to value guitars?

I just put the cost I paid for them in. If it’s a vintage guitar, the current going rate.

Shops will value 'name manufacturer' guitars for insurance purposes - they may charge a fee for putting that valuation in writing, and they usually won't put a value on custom builds. I asked Lee at Andertons this many years ago and that was basically his answer.
