Nabbed a slab of Mahogany in the Anderton's "Pre Black Friday Sale".
I'd completely given up hope of finding a
2018 SG Standard in the
Autumn Shade colour (the best of the 3 colours of 2018). No one had one anywhere, even Anderton's didn't until the Sale. I guess they might have put it aside for the Sale or it was a recent return.
A
Gibson S.G Std. for
£849.00 (Hardcase and Case Candy Inc.), I'm well happy with that price.
No obvious cosmetic damage, just the tiniest signs of use. Plays and sounds lovely, electrics seem all fine. Stays in tune, nice weight and it doesn't neck dive. Bridge looks tidy as well. I love the slim taper neck, it feels like the modern C Fender profile. It also has the lovely Small Pickguard
Only downsides are the board could do with a Oiling, looks a bit dry and the White Binding comes a poor second to the nice cream binding on a lot of Gibsons. I'll take it for that price though.
I keep looking it over as I'm sure I must have missed something obvious for that price.
