New Friedman be od deluxe - dual channel distortion

I see the new Friedman pedal has arrived.  A dual channel version of the be od with added mid control.

When I saw the spec for these a few months back I thought it would be a great idea and I’m tempted to try one as a tiny board - add a couple of pedals like a flint and el cap and I reckon I could do most gigs - maybe a low gain as well.
I’m not totally convinced by the clips I’ve heard so far though - Peach and Pete Thorn so far but probably a ton more on the way,   For me it sounds a bit tinnier and more obviously pedallike than I expected but could be the clips and is probably worth a try.

  • Sounds great, I preferred the Peach Guitars demo - I find Pete Thorn's demos to be way too polished and well produced and therefore not really a fair indication of what the pedal would sound like.

He's great but there's always a shot tonne of engineering done itb. Still, there is on every record you hear!

I tried the BE-OD, but it's too fizzy. My 7thvn was more amp like and dynamic.

  • i had the BE-OD too briefly and i thought it was a very one trick pony, TONS of gain and nothing like the sound of an amp for me
