    Was it John Terode?

Sounds like the sort of nugget he would produce.

No - he's not in it. I think it was a finalist's wife.

    What?
    I'm not sure.

I think it means "don't fuck up the peas".

They seem to use "hero" to describe the key focus of a dish, but this was the first time I'd witnessed "hero" being verbed.

In context it seemed to be about blanching the peas and then adding a LOT of butter.

It's meta. Or sarcastic. Something like that.

I find stuff like this quite interesting - how language changes.

In Australia, like anywhere, there's a gap between how normal people speak and how reality-TV-and-marketing-types speak.  Said gap seems to be getting wider Down Under every time I visit.

Australian advertising is occasionally funny (I remember an anti-littering campaign poster with the caption "Don't be a Tosser"); Aussie TV is uniformly fucking dismal.

There are many, many wonderful things about the country and free-to-air television is not one of them.

    Verbing weirds language.
