Have bought these strings for 2 decades when suddenly my recent order for 3 x sets comes in a new style packets which look slightly metallic yellow packaging instead of the previous plastic yellow.

Anyone know if they've changed their packaging recently?

If not i think my new set may have actually been made by Ching Bong, a 9 year old boy from China.

I've had a fair few sets from Strings direct recently in shiny packaging.

I'd hope they would only be supplying genuine stuff so I'm guessing its just an EB change!

Yeah, same shiny packet here.  I've recently switched to Slinkies from at least two decades of using D'Addario who, for some reason, decided to coil the strings in pairs after 20 years of coiling them individually.

That wasn't the reason I switched, I'm not that petty - it's just had me wondering *why* they did it.

The skinny metallic packaging has been around since the Summer.

It is reasonable to assume that any shop stock in the previous packaging left the factory at least five months ago...
