Well, ring the GAS bell , scratched an itch for a 50’s Strat
Welcome to the fold to a 97 Jap Strat refinished 20 years ago in Nitro Torino red and fitted with 50’s Custom Shop pickups

    The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

    Are they the fat 50s pickups?, thinking about trying other pickups on my MIJ strat, I don't dislike whats in there which are the original alnicos but general view is MIJ pickups nothing special.  Mine is the 55,000 yen version so MIJ, higher priced had US.

    Tried a US standard strat with fat 50s which are the only strat pickups I have heard which sound better than the 57/62s to my ears.
