So I installed one of these Hive thangs to control my heating and it is on the face of it, a brilliant little system.

When it works

Any other Hive Users here constantly having to reconnect the thermostat? Whenever I am out and about and want to fiddle with the heating or water, the app nearly always says "heating offline"

Any other user thoughts?

Ours has been okay so far ( had it about two months). When we first had it installed the wi fi in the house was incredibly slow for about 24 hours then was fine again. No idea if that was coincidence but it started with the Hive being switched on. 
We haven't really done much with it, just sorted out a pattern that seems to work. 

Is yours the latest one? When the man came to fit ours he said he had come to upgrade it to the new one, £99 please. We said we didn't have one already so what was he on about. He called the office, he had the wrong job card but they'd quoted £99 so we had the whole thing for that. Anyway, that's the only reason I know there is a new one.
