I haven't played one but I like the idea of the Type D single coils neck & mid. I also prefer the plain colours to all those flame finishes.

Not played one but I’ve had an S2 Standard 24 and a Vela and loved both. This seems like a mix between the two.

It looks like it might be the beefy Strat-ish thing I'm looking for.  But then I had an NF3 thinking it would be that, and that didn't work out for me at all.

The Vela pickups are really nice, hard to know how they’d sound hear though as the Vela also had the plate bridge with brass saddles.

I like the Type-D single coil. It sounds great in the neck position of my S2 Vela. It can sound "Stratty" one moment and a bit "Gretsch" the next. (My Vela is semi-hollow.) Outwardly, the only clue that the pickup is Korean rather than American was the excess wax that had not been cleaned away prior to shipping. Wherever it is made, the Type-D is a fine pickup.

I like the look of it, but the S2 Mira model edges it for me looks wise.

I really like the look of it, but the s2 models i've owned have been well below the standard of my Mira X.
