    Id actually change my choice...

    Now there's a surprise.

Within a week, you've manage to flip on a hypothetical question.
Says the master of the flip...

Chris, you realise there were only 19 made and the last one sold made 30k?!
Yes, it was I who told you that!

I’d be quite happy with a brown one, but a blonde proto would really be the ticket
I'd be interested in more info about those.

Are the blond protos a different circuit, or the same 6G16?
    Same circuit.

During the Brown/Blonde era, Fender designated the lower end amps with brown tolex, and reserved blonde for the top end pro models. The vibroverb was F’s first amp with onboard reverb, so was clearly destined to sit higher up in the product line. No idea why they changed to brown, but I’d hazard a guess that it was based on cost.

By the time the 6G16 was made available for sale, they were already working on the first of the blackface amps.

  • I always thought the V fronted Watkins Dominator looked cool. I’d like a go on one of those.

  • Oh, and thinking about it,  I have something of a whim to try out some of the old Klemt Echollette amps.  Good bit of German engineering by the look of them and something a bit different. Especially the one with the matching tape echo unit.

  • One main difference between the original 63 vibroverb and the ri.    Is the original uses all 12ax7 preamp tubes where as the ri use a 12at7 reverb driver and 12at7 phase inverter.

Which will effect gain of the preamp.

Would like to own an original jtm45/100.
Now that would be a dream amp.

Tube amp wise, Fender Machete 112 combo. I was in a band briefly with a guy who played through one and I've wanted one ever since. A bit OTT for the bedroom unfortunately.

I'd like to try a Two Rock Classic Reverb but I would never pay over £4000 for one. Or even £2000 plus, not anymore anyway
I’m looking £3200 for mine if you’re interested?
    No thanks ;)

It is bloody noisy though, maybe we are spoilt these days :) I’d still go for a selection of Dumbles for my Fantasy Amps

Before I'd want an amp, I would ensure it suits my style of playing. Liking one because some favourite player uses one is not a valid enough reason to own one. Which is another way of saying that, at the moment, I am amped well enough...

I have all the amps I need, including one of wazmeister’s Redplates, and access to all the plexis a man could ever need.
Still, I’d happily buy a 50 watt Nicholls amp from the early 70s.
There has yet to be an amp that I’ve lusted after, I mean all out begged the owner to sell it to me. My Kelly amp from the 60s was almighty there but I played it too cool to be considered lusting.
I guess it would have to have touched a master’s hands to make me lose my mind, something like gassage’s eric Johnson amp.

The only amps I really lust after are the ones I'd have loved to have but couldn't afford when I was younger, so Carvin X100B, Groove Tubes Soul-O 75, Seymour Duncan Convertible or even a Laney AOR30 head. I had a mate who had a Park 75 w/KT88's which was totally awesome, so one of those would be cool.

I'd also fancy a Simms Watt head cuz the logo was so cool :-)
