Anyone using Vox Mini series amp.....

.....the Mini 5 Rhythm in particular. I've had one for a few weeks and love it....BUT....when using the 'compression' effect when I dial it in it seems OK until the dial reaches the max part of the compression dial area (just before the effect becomes 'chorus') the sound / output becomes really loud. Is this normal at has my amp got a fault?

Mine does that too - it’s annoying, but I assume normal because what it’s essentially doing is increasing the gain to maximum.
