I like Greg Lakes - The choir, the trumpets and bells - All help to give it a traditional 'Hark the Herald Angles' type of vibe with the arrangement - Yet it is an anti Christmas song

+ 1 for Mariah Carey - such a catchy song

+1 for Chris Rea - Assume Max Middleton on piano but like the jazzy touches he brings to the song

Fairytale of New York for me. I love the irreverence. They can feck off with their radio friendly new version though. The lyrics have something of real life about them, but also capture a wonderful Christmas spirit.


Having said that, my Xmas playlist is always a bunch of Pentatonix songs.
