Lipstick pickups on Danelectro '59

Anybody have any experience on swapping out stock pickups on a Denelectro '59?, (reissue 2013 or thereabouts, Dani's a nightmare to identify through serial number) thinking of changing the stock pickups & would like to know if it makes a noticeable difference in the sound, not one for watching YouTube videos as you never get a true representation from them, any help would be grateful.
