Had many a great chat with Barrie in and out of the shop and he's such a super-musical player.

Just noticed his pick-stashing technique. Very neat. After all these years I still stick mine in my gob.

A wonderful player and a wonderful guitar. I'd urge anyone interested in that style to check out his albums - real scuzzy, 60s garage inspired stuff with tons of other influences thrown in.

He seems like a complete gent too. A few years ago, he answered a few questions about Casinos/330s on Facebook for me - I was genuinely surprised that he could be bothered replying in such detail. I later found out that he'd worked in places like Vintage & Rare so it made a bit more sense.

Great player, I've seen him twice at Festival 6, once with his own band Little Barrie playing a Jazzmaster, and last year with TheThe. Don't recall seeing this 330, he had something similar in black.
    That'd be his 345:

He’s a great player. I don’t hold the same admiration for his vocals though and always wondered if Little Barrie could have been bigger with a really strong vocalist on board.

    Loved that, thank you.

Now, about pick stashing. What is the best way to do it? I see people doing this seamlessly but whenever i try it seems impossible. Any tips?

Cool video and a cool guy. I've been aware of him for quite a while but never seen or heard him play. Impressed!

Ha I've just noticed this today and have been trying to do it myself.  He's tucking it under his index finger and plucking with fingers 2 and 3.  The pointy bit points out when he does it, which offers a clue as to how it gets there.

I've tried tucking the pick under fingers 3 and 4 but it seems to affect the mobility of the rest of the hand, this feels like a bigger compromise than losing your 1st finger as it tires your thumb more quickly

Yes. He’s the real deal. Another lovely guy is Nick McCabe from The Verve who seems to be the nicest and most unaffected guitar player given his level of fame.
