  • Gimmick...does the Stephens Extended Cutaway count?

Because if so...hell yes. Probably my favourite neck joint.

    Also, the D-Tuna.

Killswitch stutter effect for me, be that with a pedal, or built into the guitar
Please note my communication is not very good, so please be patient with me

Push-pull on a strat to add bridge.
    Blower switch.
    Killswitch.
    Hex pickup.

I also have this strange pick called a 'strum rose' that is like a comb, that sort of simulates a 12 string.
I've owned it since I was 16- it is probably the oldest thing I possess other than my genitals.

    They really do work.
I've been keeping my eye out for another as I only have one and given I've had it for 31 years it is getting a bit worn.
Every album I've played on has it somewhere, either in the guitar track, or more often as a type of percussive part made with a guitar and a drastic HPF.

EDIT: Actually I just found someone in Australia with 3 of them.

    Bought.

Varitone. I use caps, pots and chokes as filters on lots of things rather than a complete Varitone. I build them into pedals, and into my main gigging guitar.

Already mentioned the two main ones.  Neck plus Bridge on a Strat (currently on a push-push on mine), and tone control on the bridge pickup.

The one that is a complete waste of time is the Tele 4 way with pickups together in series option.

    Agree with that.

Those sprung plectrum holders that you stick on the back of your headstock. I’ve put them on all my guitars. Don’t use the cheap versions, they rattle.
