79 (well, 1981) strat top nut replacement

What's Hot
morning all

my lady's 79 strat needs a new top nut
as it's 'players grade' I'm not too bothered about after market products so I'll be getting a tusq one

will I need a flat bottom or curved bottom nut?
 it's a 1981 international series one
I'm not with the guitar to check & would like to order one today

thanks in advance as usual :)

    Curved.

Unless it's already been replaced and someone has cut the slot flat...!

GraphTech/TUSQ offer a version that is mostly pre-cut to the fingerboard radius but with an extended section in the centre to work in flat-bottomed slots. If not required, the extension can be removed prior to installation.
