Morning all
I’ve just bought a Cornell Romany Plus 1x12 with Reverb and when I play through it without effects, it absolutely nails Green Onions by Booker T and the MG’s amongst other tunes.... What track does your amp nail or remind you of when you play through it?
I have only played my Les Paul through it so far as my Strat is in bits at the moment..... For you younger members here is the track.... :)

Tony, I am 99% sure Cropper was using his beloved 5E9 Tremolux for that session, so it makes sense.

My Twin nails Cliffs of Dover (!)

  • I don't have an amp any more but the Princeton I got rid of late last year was perfect for the Nancy Sinatra version of Bang Bang. That was about all it was good for though!
Please note my communication is not very good, so please be patient with me

Did he have a Tremolux?  Green Onions was his Harvard with an early 50's Esquire.

  • On the evenings/nights I used to drink gallons of beer, wine and whiskey (sometimes in the one session) I usually nailed every one.

However, not as much when sober

Last year I sold my beloved Fender Twin Reverb II to Essbie of this forum and I hope he is enjoying it.
Absolutely nails the Robben Ford "Help The Poor" overdriven tone; drive channel with pre-gain and drive full up, all tone controls at 10 and mid-boost engaged.
