Tokai LP inbound from Ishibashi - NGD!

Following on from my 'Which Les Paul?" thread.

Ordered a nice used LS160/FV from Ishibashi U-Box and it has finallly arrived at the UK hub. Now waiting on  'customs charging'.. this appear to take a about a week so I'm hoping to get my hands on it next week.

@mudslide73 gets first dibs on playing it when it arrives

Let us know how much import/shipping costs were. I am considering buying from Ishibashi or Mikki Gakki at some point.

I'm very excited by this... so I can't imagine how you feel mate. I can't stop looking at that 1983 LS they've got on there atm... it's a bit stripey for me but I'm gassing for it like a leaky zeppelin.

From my limited Tokai experience your newie should blow my LP std away.. it'll be fun and very educational to a/b them. Time to re-valve the 18 watter I think!

Here is a tip for you, if you are impatient you can drive to the depot, pay there and collect it if you have the tracker, ID and proof of address.

also... don't be shocked by what could be quite high custom charges

in my experience over 15 guitars imported from japan, it tends to be 25% of (guitar value + shipping cost)

and they always frigging work it out correctly, even when there isn't an invoice!

but it WILL be worth it. the bang for buck is still miles ahead of the big G 'quality' monopoly
