Blooming lovely and said doggie looks singularly unimpressed, cute wee fella though.

Looks like a great buy and a good service, mighty tempting.

Nice, what sort of cost are you looking at all in for this?

Approx.. £562 for guitar + £105 shipping/insurance + £17 CC cross-border charge + £139 Duty and VAT + £8 UK handling = £831 all in. so a fair price for such an 'as new'  LS160/VF which would set you back approx £1300 new..if you could even find this particular model in Europe.

Ishibashi were great and they are over cautious on stating the condition of used gear. If I was sold this guitar as new..I would not have questioned it, the condition is that good.
For  @koneguitarist  the link is: http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/u_box/e/

I have to say the quality of the guitar is jaw dropping, easily as good, if not better than the 2014 LP Trads and Standards that I have tried this year. Single piece mahogany back with two piece maple top, single piece mahogany neck, To say I'm delighted is an understatement.

Yep, that's a 79 model I've got, lovely guitar but weighs a ton, the heaviest guitar I've ever played apart from a double-neck or an 80's Ibanez Musician bass. Thankfully the Tokai is considerably lighter.

What a beautiful guitar you have there equalsql.

Beautifully subtle grain markings in a perfectly coloured top, artists brush strokes in the grain on that lovely one piece back, and a neck volute too by the looks of it.  Even the case is a peach.

What does she play like ?  (excuse the gender allocation but it is simply far too beautiful to be a he)

    Happy NGD.  :)

Hi @ChrisMusic, it's a trick of the light, there is no volute on this one as it is Tokai's take on an R8. Nice chunky 50's neck though. I do love the finish as I am a fan of plain tops.  @Jez6345789: I think I'll pass on the relic-ing though :)

@mudslide73, It would be nice to compare it with your standard through your 18W Marshal when you get a chance.. I feel a Pat and Doug moment coming on >:D<

Yep, thanks for your input @sunshinewelly I was watching your threads on the Tokai forum when looking to purchase. There was lots of good info there.
