Brushed aluminium Helixes are nice- I wonder if they would attract dust and fingerprints like the stock one?

They are. Done for a competition. Also to show some of the things the custom shop can do.

Not that I saw. Lots of people getting all touch feely as well.

New Nathan East? Maybe I missed something but wasn't aware of one. The Attitude does seem to be getting a lot of attention. It's not available. Another custom shop piece just to tease everyone. I saw that being made last time I was there. Very lovely indeed. 

Just on the custom shop thing, it's called YASLA (Yamaha Artist Services Los Angeles). We currently only do stuff for artists and a few experiments here and there. It consists of Pat and Rafael (ex James Tyler) and Andrew (ex Cordoba). Some of the stuff coming out of there is getting a lot of attention so who knows, maybe one day we will be able to open it up for larger production. At the moment, Pat does electrics, Andrew does acoustics and Rafael does the painting. Needless to say, they don't have a lot of time. Not even enough time to make my custom Pacifica!! >:-/

I think it would be ace to do a custom brushed aluminium old school bean shaped pod. Bet that would sell for a pretty penny too.

We did a chrome one back in the day. Really regret not getting one.

Things that I want to buy that are missing from Yamaha’s guitar range.

1: A Floyd equipped Pacifica, like the Scotti Hill Custom. The more stripped out the better. 

2: A modern take on the Yamaha SG1300T. Ideally the same guitar with a 5 way blade and a Gotoh 510 Trem System. That’d be in Gibson Axcess/PRS territory. 

A nicer choice of colours on modern SG’s.
