you've got me on this one as well - I know retailers prices will always be inflated above that of a private seller for many obvious reasons - But that is inflated above an inflated price - No I don't see it or get it - And they have offered no reason or description about it either

Indeed, I absolutely expect a dealer price to be, well, the dealer price, with all the protections/assurances and rights that are included... this just seems very high for what seems to be not really a unique or special piece at all, and you're right in that they are not trying very hard...

I might add a quid or so for the fact that it is a custom order with the Bigsby, yet equally many R9 potential customers would not buy it for exactly that reason

What you have overlooked is the identity of the seller.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

It mentions a rosewood neck which would be pretty unusual.  Doesn't look like it though.

I’ve been to that shop. It is impressive but everything is very overpriced.

Cant see why this is so expensive though.

  • When this sort of over pricing happens on eBay you’re bound to get a few more misguided  hopefuls thinking that they’ll try it on with their guitar. I’m pretty sure that the guitar they’re listing will never sell at that price but they’re welcome to try. I see lots of guitars listed at stupidity high prices on eBay particularly 1960/70s Japanese models most of which are just interesting rubbish. I’m not quite sure if they ever sell but I did get £175 for a Japanese lap steel which cost me £25 at a boot sale.

I was thinking maybe they were taking advantage of free listing days.
but it's 9k on their own site.

They do have some lovely guitars though.

Yeah, I know they are not exactly noted for charitable pricing... but this is waaaaay high even for them... well, I guess it's not really now, but y'know. :)
