  • If it is someone on here that is well respected it doesn't matter to me.

Plenty of people can't even get pictures working so if you need some help then why not

I've seen these too but it usually doesn't ring any alarm bells more than usual. If the price is too good or pics blurry I'd get suspicious whether they're selling for themselves or a friend

  • Saw an ad for a rare vintage squier affinity strat that someone was "selling for a friend". Went to see it and woke up in a bath full of ice missing a kidney. Beware.

  • Wouldn’t have an issue with it, I’d just assume the seller isn’t a regular gear shifter. I’d sell for a friend if they asked although knowing me I’d probably also be the buyer.

Plausible deniability for when the guitar falls apart.

  • There are far bigger issues with the selling markets out there at the moment.

Like people listing things at higher than the new price, then getting pissy when you click the laughing reaction on their Facebook post.

This seems to be particularly prevalent with Epiphones at the moment!

    Certainly a point.

A watch forum I post on has a very busy sales forum but one of the few rules is that everything you sell must be yours i.e you take full responsibility.
