People seem to be missing the point saying it needs a neck pickup.

Having only a bridge pickup affects the tone, as there's less magnetic pull on the strings.

That's why Les Paul Jnrs always sound better than LP Specials ;-)

Nonsense. Thats sheer snake oil. Any difference is so minimal you couldn't hear it and most certainly not in a live gigging situation. Dropping pickup height on a regular LP by 1mm would be more noticeable.  And if you were really hung up about it you could always drop the neck pup right down so it had no magnet pull, with the option to raise it if you wanted the neck pup.

I guarantee you if I blindfolded you and put 5 LPs in your hands with one having 3 pups, 3 having 2 and 1 having just the bridge, and selected the bridge pup on each you would not be able to identify the single pup LP from the 3 pup LP, let alone the 2 pup LPs.

This is signature model marketing at it's worst.
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

No thanks. I’d rather have a Kevin And Perry model tbh.

I really liked the black prototype as well. I’d get Feline to build me one rather than pay daft Gibbo money but yeah, I’m bang into this

I think it’s a cool guitar but no way I’d drop that amount of cash on it. Mabye if they did a USA version for half the price.

“the best of the Stratocaster and the best of the Les Paul”

Stratocaster? Because it's got a trem?

The standard CS Axcess models are now the same price so in relation to that I think it’s reasonably priced for a signature CS model but still Gibson’s are overpriced still in my opinion

I thought originally when they were announced back in Feb that they would sit at around 6k so was quite surprised at £4299 but the signed one is £5999.

That pissed me off about the slash sigs too in that they wanted £1500 + extra just for him signing it. Yes it will be more desirable in the long term but I couldn’t justify £1700 more here for JP signing it

I think if you took the trem away and put in a conventional bridge and stop tail and a neck humbucker and four control knobs and a pickup switch in the top bout it would sell like the clappers.Dunno why no one has thought of it
