It’s just that each year, I enjoy it less and less. I’d say that about 80% of the stuff on show either
leaves me cold or pisses me off.

I can, to some extent, understand that. The big name stuff leaves me cold - but the small independent builders and luthiers really fascinates me.

Hmmmm...that has an equally adverse effect, I’m afraid - I really don’t want to look at slightly-tweaked takes on “classic” guitar designs, blinged-up insanely ornate finishes, guitars made from driftwood and twigs, guitars that look like seventies G-Plan furniture, own-branded MIC blandness, weird gadgets that fill niches no-one knew existed (in a Betterware stylee), millions of wackily-named clone pedals, blahblahblah...

I’ve ordered a custom bass from a luthier who will be at the show. No classic designs, no bling, no driftwood or twigs, no g-plan-o-casters, and def no weird gadgets
