@speshul91 Reef-keeping is a money black hole. I sold all my corals, fish, inverts and my expensive filtration systems, lighting etc (at an enormous loss) to get a dog. Superb decision.

My dog costs me about £1 a day all in. Bargain.


I'd love a reef tank, I'll stick to my 3 freshwater ones .

my problem is i need redundency/spares. i buy two of everything , cameras , computers amps, multi-effects, bicycles, underpants. everything in pairs

I'd like a record player at some point but the only one's I can find are either rubbish or very expensive. I buy LP's because I still live in the 80's like to think that one day when I get a player, I'll have a stack of records to listen to.

It's not that I think one sounds better or worse, I like both formats for what they are.

It does feel a bit weird bringing an LP home and sitting and just looking at it but it'll be worth it one day.

I read that as well. It helped me to get a grip and get a life. 
It didn't just help me to get rid of material shit.....but all my mental shit as well. 
I have never looked back...For me, less is definitely more.  .

Talking Guitar specific - it isn't a piece of gear exactly that gives me GAS. moreso a 'tone' I want to have under my control - so this is often the driving factor. As much as aesthetics make me go Ooooer, the tone is the thing overall.

Oh yes. There's so much stuff I want but usually I talk myself out of it as I hate clutter and unnecessary stuff sat about gathering dust. Video camera gear and mountain bikes are my other 2 sources of frustration and lust for shiny new stuff.
