The Pugilust is coming off the board, nothing wrong with it, just not me. Going to swap it for a very low gain o/d. Everything else stays. Really enjoying the Santa Ana o/d, it’s very easy to sculpt my tone. The delay & reverb are very nice and the compressor is particularly responsive. Fender did good.

Hmmm... now finding I really like the Pugilist. Not the easiest to dial in but when you nail it...

The Pugilist is a funny one.

Sounded great in all the online demos but everyone who's tried one on here has been negative.

The delay is weird in that it's clearly big enough for two foot switches but it doesn't have tap tempo.

@monquixote Yeah, it took me a while but it does have its sweet spots. Agree with you about the delay. I didn’t buy any of the Fender pedals new in case I was disappointed but on the whole I’d have been happy to pay full price.

The Bends is the only one that interests me.

I think it's the lowest priced compressor with a blend.

@monquixote I can’t fault the compressor. I think I paid £40 for it.

I think in years to come, people will still be saying these pedals are shit. 

I had had high hopes for them but after trying the first batch I decided that I’d never go near any of them ever again. The pukiest is the worst drive pedal I’ve ever tried.

@timmysoft The Pugilist took me a while but it’s proved worthy of the effort. If people don’t like them then they don’t like them but I have a funny feeling that if they’d been marketed under a different brand at the same prices then people wouldn’t be judging them on the assumption that Fender don’t make good pedals and they’d be appearing on a lot of pedalboards. I’m very happy with them. No regrets.
