1987 is in what I call my wilderness years. There wasn't really a lot of music about that excited me as I'd started working a few years earlier and finished buying the albums I couldn't afford as a teenager by Blondie, Pistols, Neil Young, Stooges amongst others.

I nearly went metal as I was kind of grebo and that's were The Cult seemed to head. But then I discovered Pixies, Sonic Youth, Buffalo Tom, etc and went a more grungy route instead.

1987..... I saw U2 at Cardiff Arms Park on the Joshua Tree tour..... played that album to death! other listening was the Alarm, the Mission, the Cult, Simple Minds, AC/DC, Maiden, and I started to like Southern Rock, Skynrd etc...Got my first car... MK2 Escort Registration JJY9P... Happy Days.....
