Help me with some pedal ideas...

My new board has pretty much taken shape - a simole-ish affair with 2 drives, a comp, and 2 delays (a short and a long)

The Dekay is the Mad Professor Dual delay and I like it lots.

I **also** like the Belle Epoch I bought to try - I like the ability to occasionally have the slightly modulated delay wash that it offers.

I don't want to replace the Dual Blue.

I could fit on the Belle Epoch but having effectively 3 delays feels a bit odd - so I was wondering about trying something else instead that could maybe get the gently chorused delay-y wash when used along with the Dual Blue.

The space it needs to go in is single pedal sized
Red ones are better.

I'm not looking for a different delay pedal - something that can add a bit of ambient wash to an already delayed sound

    Ahh, ok.

    Modulated verb, maybe?

Any thoughts anyone or shall I just buy whatever secondhand chorus comes up?

Stick a 2 stage phaser after the delay. Very washy.

The best pedal I've ever bought is the DD500. It does everything very well.

If I was a chorus guy it'd be first on the list to try! As it is this is a nice to have and single-sized gap.

Although I suppose if a Peacekeeper replaced the Guvnor there might be just enough room lol

Phase 95 is really nice and small and it can get quite subtle in 45 script mode

I don’t think there’s any substitute for modulated repeats and you won’t get exactly the same effect by adding a mod pedal. Why not get the single size MP deep blue delay and the Belle Epoch - two delays, one with modulation. The MP dual is a real miss for me without modulation, else I’d probably have one.

    :)

As I was being impatient with my Dual Blue coming from overseas, I actually have a Deep Blue, and the aforementioned Belle Epoch, at the minute. Most of the time I prefer the straight delay of the DBD - it's just occasionally it's nice to have a more washy-hint-o-modulation, but not all of the time.  I may end up having to compromise though you're right.
