    And then I fell for the guitars charms. It is indeed a cracker that I got from @johnl and though I have been very close to moving it on of occasion, it’s clearly a slow burner, as it is currently the guitar I pick up first. 

    Edit: hasn’t changed my current gas for a nice strat though. ;)

  • Thanks guys, I think I may have found one, I'm going to look tomorrow. 
    My first guitar was an Epi SG (I bought it at the long gone Machine Head Music in Hitchin in the mid 80's). I still have it and use it for perverse experimentation- it currently has split coil lipstick pickups on it...
    Though my Angus infatuation went many years ago, my appreciation of the versatility of the SG as a guitar burns bright.
