Guitar Shielding Paint - Where to buy in UK

I am about to shield a guitar control cavity and already have copper tape. However, I would prefer to use shielding (conductive) paint instead as I feel it is a neater solution. The normally recommended Stewmac paint is quite expensive to get shipped over here at £44 (inc shipping but not including import fees/duty) for the 236ml one. I have found a few others too in the UK that are more reasonable but don't know how good they will be. Also, I really only need enough for one guitar at the moment.

Anyone have any experience with getting decent paint from a UK supplier or outlet?

I normally get my shielding materials from CAT Music

    https://www.catmusic99.co.uk/category/guitar_shielding

simply because their products and prices are OK and they dispatch quickly.

I personally prefer foil shielding to carbon-based paints for my own guitars but two coats of the paint works reasonably well. Don’t forget to run a ground wire to the shielding.

@rexter Did the paint work well on all the guitars on a before and after test?

I used a Charles Guitars paint on my last build, seems good. High solids, waterbased so quick dry and easy clean-up. Passed conduction tests, quiet guitar etc.

Hey there, I didn't do a before and after test, it's just second nature to me to shield every guitar I build, so have never built one unshielded. It definitely works though - on jazzmasters and telecasters which are both prone to hum.

I used a combo of CAT Music's conductive paint and copper foil on my Jazzmaster and it made a great deal of difference to the hum, especially when used near a computer monitor.
    I'd certainly recommend it.
