Les paul V 336

I guess there is some overlap betwixt these two fine guitars folks but is the 336 in the same ballpark when it comes to BALLS, can it get cookin' enough without all that runaway feedback?

It’s not quite the same balls-level. But it’s closer than a 335 and way closer than an SG.

A 336 is a chambered out solid body guitar..  A 335 is made from laminates. So a 336 is literally in the middle of the two.. Probably more like a LP I would say.

Those mini "semis" always look weird to me. And I never have much bother with feedback from 335s unless it has cheapo pickups.

Can't beat a LP Studio for the price...

@simonhpieman do you play high gain? I have a 335 but only plan to use it for more moderate styles

Only use high gain in solo sections usually BUT have been "Zeppelinning" recently with my Matsumoku Riviera and that's got ridiculous Dirty Fingers pickups in it. Feedback's only a problem when I want it to be
