Telecaster new outfit

Having built myself a tele last year based on a black highway one body from @CasperCaster as per this thread http://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/131149/new-tele-project#latest I loved how it sounded but assuming I will never need to buy another tele now (don't snigger : ) I wanted it to be a 3 tone sunburst as thats my dream tele.

So off it went to @iamf68 who smashed it out of the park, I wanted it scratched and faded like the original without putting on it arm wear etc that it didn't already have.  I had planned to keep the tort pickguard but changed my mind and bought a relic pickguard from guitars electric.;  Its barely noticeable relicing but its not as bright mint green as a lot of after market pickups.

Having some issues with the nut which I'm hopefully in the process of sorting under the guidance of @SteveRobinson but here is the little beauty!  Apologies to Rich that my iphone doesn't do it justice.

Yeah its not a patch on the lighter guard, I had planned to use tort all the way through.  Might get a black bakelite at some point in case I feel like a change!

Snags

Nice. I do like the look of a nice three colour burst on other people's kit, but can never bring myself to actually own one. Probably scarred for life by my first Kay strat.

Deffo needs the lighter pickguard - tort/black would just make it too heavy looking.

Expect to see that in action sometime soon
