Bought a Bogner Cube at the weekend...

What a great bit of kit!!!

As a band we seem to be getting a lot more backline gigs these days and I felt that the little Atma combo I had (bought because I thought we could afford to go smaller backline!!) was struggling a bit with projection as its so small so I bought a matching Bogner Cube - they had a 100 quid off at GG.

What a difference!! - the thump it adds is unbelievable and I now somehow have plenty of volume - I initially thought its because the amp is now higher up pointing at my arse instead of my ankles but I always tended used a tilted stand anyway - the only other thing I can think it is is running the amp out of the 8ohm output (with a speaker splitter) - would that make a difference? 

Anyway, anybody looking to add a bit of spread to their sound, take a look at these little cubes - IMO, they are amazing.

I bought one of the Palmer ones from Gear4Music - seems to do the job, I've mounted it inside the back of the combo to keep it out the way.

Yip, they are the best sounding compact 1 x 12" cab I have tried and own (Although I make my own)

Suhr make pretty much the same cab too, so you know it is good.

Yep!! and with the open backed voicing of the combo as well its sounds really good now.
