Boss ES-8 Question

Does the ES-8 have a feature that allows the individual loops to have different levels?

I've got a couple of older pedals that lower volume a little when they are activated. Could the ES-8 even that out by applying a boost on an individual loop?

  • AFAIK, no.

It does have two mixers however which allow you to change the level of a patch, or to have spill-over between patches. The ES5 only has one mixer though as I found out recently when I wanted to do both of these things at once. Kind of annoying.

I think for your use-case the GigRig G2 might be a better bet. I'm not sure if the Musicomlabs ones offer the same functionality, maybe someone could chime in on that.

    Bye!

    Bobbins.

Don't want to spend G2 money.

  • No nor did I tbh! I'm sure there must be another device out there that does this.

Might be more realistic to look for modern versions of the pedals.

The main one is an ancient DOD Phasor

Doesn't sound like any other I've found. Very very thick and chewy sound.

I thought the es series could do that... Been a while since I used mine but I could have sworn each loop had a level setting....

Edit: checked and it was just patch level.
