But that's OK in London, because most other people are worse.

We have a road where one lane is blocked up by parked cars so you have to wait at the top of either end to let cars by and I always experience c**t drivers who will zoom down even though you're halfway down the road and they could easily pull in for 5 seconds.

A woman I used to work with encountered a taxi doing that one day - and they ended up in the road with neither willing to move.  It was the Taxi driver's fault as she was already halfway down the road when he pulled out.  They sat there for ages with the Taxi driver giving her lip and demanding she reversed.  In the end, she got out of her car and locked it..... then walked into her house which she was almost outside !!!  Twatotaxi had no choice but to reverse all the way back

You mean proper registered black cabs or professional mini -cabs 
I wouldn't use Uber  or trust the operatives even if it was free
should never have been permitted .

Question: why do you think that. In the UK they are all registered taxi drivers.
I use them all over the world. Really takes the hassle out of travel.

I was making my way back to Mcdonalds with steam coming out of my ears because they'd given me someone else's order when i noticed a girl approaching the roundabout I WAS ALREADY ON at speed and had to break hard, nose dived the car! I was also able to notice her stick her fingers up and call me a wanker. 

Cheered me right up, i was laughing all the way to the drive through!
