Nice. Sadly Madcat & Hohner + various other copies were not appreciated or valued until his Royal Purpleness had shuffled off this mortal coil. Wouldn't make me sound like him, but look cool.

Pretty sure that if Prince hadn't happened to use one, they would be in the 300.00 max used price bracket along with Hohner's other guitars.

Do they actually sound much like a Tele in the bridge position ? I ask because it looks more like a Strat pickup and a hardtail Strat bridge with a bit of pickguard around it ?

It just sounds incredibly bland and a bit harsh, with nasty, overwound ceramic pickups. Build quality is passable to be fair, but it's a dead weight, characterless lump of glued-together offcuts nobody would look at twice if Prince hadn't touted the look with some high class replicas. 

As a signal generator for a rack system which is taller than the player (literally, in his case) it's fine, but directly into a good, non-reverb amp? Really not nice.

Lol not much, and I had high hopes, as my Hohner 335 copy was genuinely excellent, regardless of price.
