Replacement Jazzmaster Bridge - Staytrem?

Quick one chaps...

Thinking of replacing the terrible bridge on my Squier VM Jazzmaster.

Is the 9.5" Staytrem bridge the best option?  I'm happy to pay the £66 for a £300 guitar as otherwise I think it's excellent so that's not an issue, but I would like to consider alternatives, if there are any!

Thanks.

    Alternatives, in order of affordability.
    1. Mustang-style solid saddles.
    2. Plug and redrill to install a Tune-o-Matic bridge. (Radius matching could be problematic.)
    3. Staytrem bridge and "thimbles" upgrade.
    4. Mastery bridge upgrade.
    5. Vibrato arm collet upgrade.

    Yes.

Mastery also good but not necessarily "better" - YMMV. Apparently more sustain, but doesn't move in the thimbles so is a different concept really.

For a cheap option also look at graphtech saddles.

When it doesn't rattle or drop in height (mastery bridges seem really random for this) they definitely sound better.

But on a squire the staytrem is definitely the way to go
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Damn, I was about to say hold off ordering a new one. I’m just about to swap one out for a Mastery on one of my guitars... it will be for sale soon.

Well, in updates, my Staytrem bridge has arrived and transformed my VM Jazzmaster.

It seems to sustain for about a week now, great guitar.

You forgot the locktie method... kept me going years  before I sprung for a Mustang bridge then Staytrem solved the problem.
