Buying via Facebook or via Reverb app

Seen a baritone that I'm keen on but the guys is selling it in two places. Would it be better to buy it via Reverb or via Facebook? Does reverb actually offer any worthwhile protection?

I can't say reverb works perfectly. However, especially if you pay using paypal. You'll have a level protection, as opposed to facebook where you have zero protection.

So all things being equal reverb would be a better choice.

Reverb, if you have it delivered. 0 protection if you collect.

I would've assumed that collection would give zero protection to the seller, as the buyer can always claim he didn't get the guitar despite paying for it. But I'm probably wrong.

In any case if you have a chance to collect the guitar in person, then I guess there's nothing wrong with using facebook and paying for it in person as well.

Trade in person. Cash is king. If the seller accepts PayPal, the money can be transferred (and confirmed by both parties) in seconds. If there is anything shady about the sale, you can walk away.
