  • Pop’s Love Suicide by Stone Temple Pilots. Not sure if it meets your criteria but it has that swagger but in a 90’s style. And Scott Weiland was pure rock n roll

OK, I gave the whole thread a listen...

Must admit I'm impressed with The Stone Electric.  They sound filthy and they rock.  They remind me a bit of Mother Superior, who became the Rollins Band for a while.

And that video fooled me, I thought it was some genuine ancient clip of a '70s band I'd never heard of.

    Great aren't they?  :)
I bought their album based on the strength of that track and was not disappointed. Sadly they've not done much since.

Glad too see you appreciate a bit of this old RnR malarkey @Philly_Q ; :)

There was a comment on one of the YouTube clips saying the guitarist had died about three years ago! I guess it must be true, unfortunately, although I couldn't find anything to verify it.

Rocks by Primal Scream. The original memphis recording with the muscle shoals rhythm section, suberb:

Why settle for a pale imitation when you can have the real thing...

Does this fit? Louche, lascivious and 1972. The whole LP is great.

This just popped up on my YouTube feed.
Classic 70's recording but suprisingly good for that period, actually a bit of a gem with some lovely classic guitar work.
I'd heard of Hydra but had not heard them play..
