It's vile to look at (I don't like overly fussy design) but who on earth thought putting a carved piece on the back of the neck was good idea? The one bit of the guitar you're regularly going to slide your hand over?

I wouldn't worry about it. The type of person who would own a guitar like this would probably struggle to play anything more complicated than open chords.

It's a shame they used all that nice wood to "exhibit what the talented craftsman at the Gibson Custom Shop are capable of", rather than build a proper musical instrument.

I am not a Columbian drug baron but I do actually find that very tasteful - and yes I would buy it if I had the spare cash.

I am sure back in the Renaissance many people used to look down on Michaelangelo or Rubens for being vulgar. They are all gone but those two are still there
