Carrying on from the groupies thread - challenges playing solos

Erm, sometimes its quite tricky concentrating on guitar solos especially when someone's "bride to be" is going for your clangers.

Anyone else have to deal with these issues or just me?

I was in a smiths tribute in NZ about 15 or so years ago and this guy followed us around the country. He'd stand at the front with flowers and try to tickle my legs with them while saying "Johnny Marr... Johnny Marr..." that put me off a bit

Quality. My admirers have always been in the "dinner lady" category sadly.. so this is very familiar. We're doing a 40th on Saturday night and I don't expect anything different tbh.

I thought this was going to be about setting challenges while you play a solo, like getting everyone up front for an air guitar competition while you play All Right Now

Worst I've had to put up was some arsehole grappling on the floor with the singer after getting him in a headlock.  I looked at the lead guitarist who looked puzzled, but carried on until he finished his solo.  What dedication!

Exactly, you played well but I would actually have stopped completely until she did one, not cool. I know it sounds a bit #metoo but that is completely unacceptable

Well that's one reason I would never stand that close to the front of the stage...

A large pedalboard and wedge monitors are advisable, even if you don't actually need them.
