My first ever custom build, by the super-talented Haydn Williams.

Local maple top (Tindale fell, right next to his workshop), mahogany body, oiled maple neck, ebony fretboard, Creamery 87 pickups, Graphtech Ghost saddled and Acoustiphonic piezo, hand-made ebony knobs, custom inlays (just a reversal of his usual abalone/ivory), abalone logo, etc.

Love it!

Having played a Mojo, Evo (new one) and Sage also, I will be going back for more.  Stunning build quality.

Was going to say "that's a great top" but then I saw the back of the neck and forgot everything else.

Abalone and ivory, I believe.  He usually does the abalone inner/ivory outer, but I asked him to reverse it.  Right choice, I think!  First time he's done hand-made ebony knobs, I think, too.

I thought that's what it was.  I love it even more now.  Really beautiful instrument you have.
What was the process like for getting this done and how long did it take if you don't mind me asking?

@Wonky For me personally, it was the culmination of buying and selling a lot of PRS guitars, after realising it was a the right neck for me (Wide Fat).  I spoke to Haydn, discussed what I wanted, woods, pickups, etc.  Four months later and we're in business.

The last guitar show I was at the Williams stand was the one that made drool.  Almost shelled out for a gold leaf finished singke cut before I had a stern talk with myself!

    That looks lovely!

Glad you all like it! I’m really, really happy with how it plays and sounds.

I saw Haydn’s build for the Birmingham Guitar Show (the Mojo) and thought the colour was lovely. And less blingy than red or blue (especially with my desire for faux fretboard and headstock binding, abalone logo and reversed fret markers).

That is a stunner, congratulations! Stupid question time, what would the Piezo be used for? What tone does it give compared to the standard pickups?
Tomorrow will be a good day.

@zepp76 Acoustic. With Helix and IRs, it’s very usable.
