My nice new shiny Player Strat has a lovely,smooth but dry lookin' fretboard, d'ya think a wee dab of lemon oil would be OK?

I still can't work out if my cp 60's is pau f or not

Most of the ones I've played in shops look really dry.

I have a recent Mex Tele that's PF, a bit of oil (I use linseed) made it look and feel excellent.

Yes - I had a Suhr with a Pau Ferro board and it took lemon oil in much the same way as rosewood does.

Don't use Lemon Oil, use Music Nomad F-One Oil. Lemon Oil leaves a residue.
